The Tripura state government has launched the Tripura Pre Matric Umbrella Scholarship Scheme For Education Of ST Students 2025. The financially unstable students of Tripura state get primary education without any financial struggles. The state government has introduced the Tripura Pre-Matric Umbrella Scholarship Scheme for the Education of ST Students. Through this scholarship, the authorities will provide financial assistance to the students and allow them to study in classes 11th and 10th. All the students who have an annual income of less than INR 2.5 lakh are eligible to avail the benefits of the scholarship.
Objective of Tripura Pre Matric Umbrella Scholarship for ST Students
The main objective of launching the Pre Matric Umbrella Scholarship is to allow the financially unstable students for belong to the scheduled caste category to pursue primary education. The financial assistance of INR 5250 will be given to the selected students annually, along with other grants such as daily allowance and book allowance. The scheme will significantly enhance the social status of the students who belong to the scheduled tribe category. Eligibility Criteria
- The students must belong to the ST category.
- The students must be permanent residents of Tripura state.
- The student must be enrolled in a Government or Government-recognized school.
- The annual income of the students family must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh
- The student must have a valid bank account in a Scheduled Bank, linked with Aadhaar and a mobile number.
- The student should not be receiving any other scholarship.
- Scholarship is available for only one academic year per class; no repeat scholarships are allowed.

Important Dates

Financial Benefits

- Books and Ad hoc Grant are INR 1,000 per year for Hostelers.
Selection Process
- Students will be selected on the basis of their clearance of eligibility criteria.
- The students must belong to the scheduled tribe category to be selected under the scholarship.
- The students must have an annual income of less than INR 2.5 lakh to be selected under the scholarship.
- The students must fill out the application form before the last date to confirm their selection under the scholarship.

- STEP 1: All the students who want to apply for the Tripura Pre Matric Umbrella Scholarship are requested to visit the NSP website.
- STEP 2: Once the students reach the homepage of the official website, they must locate and click on the option called “register”.
- STEP 3: A guideline form will appear on your desktop screen the citizens must read carefully and scroll down and click on the option “next”.
- STEP 4: A new page will appear on your desktop screen tye students must enter their mobile number and OTP that they have received on the registered mobile number.
- STEP 5: The students must enter the captcha code and click on the option “verify” to move on to the next page.
- STEP 6: Now the students must complete the eKYC process by entering the details that are asked and click on the option “next”.
- STEP 7: Now on the last page the students must enter all the additional details including their address, education and bank account details.
- STEP 8: After entering all the details, the students can click on the option “submit” to complete their process
