Selection Process
The selection process for the scholarship program includes these simple steps:
- Every State or UT has to make an online platform so that students can apply and the money is sent by DBT directly into their bank account, and if they don’t have their own portal, then the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) can be used.
- All needed documents must be uploaded by the student to prove that they are eligible, and if any wrong or fake info is given, then the student will be disqualified and also blocked from this scheme.
- Before starting to fill out the form, students should read the instructions given on the NSP or state portal properly and follow each step carefully.
- If a student is from one state but studying in a different one, the scholarship will still be given by his or her home state, and the form must be submitted there only.
- Admission to any government institute is allowed, but for private institutes, students must choose only those that are approved and listed.
- The bank account details like account number and IFSC code must be written correctly, and the account should be in the student’s name and linked with Aadhaar and mobile.
- The bank account must be active and not dormant, or else payment will not be made on time.
- All uploaded documents and the photo should be clear, readable, and not blurry, or else the form may be rejected.
- The mobile number given in the form must be active, and it should belong to the student or their parent, and it is better if the same number is used till the course is completed.
- The student should check messages or SMS from NSP or the state portal and do the work quickly if something is asked.
- The student also has to follow up with the college to make sure the form is verified before the deadline.
- If the form is marked as defective, then it must be corrected fast, and the student should do what is asked in the remark section.
