The LPU Jai Jawan Scholarship, the largest private scholarship program in the world, was launched on Wednesday by Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, in response to the success of Operation Sindoor. It is solely for the more than 22 lakh active defense and paramilitary personnel in India. During the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 academic years, the program provides 100% tuition price exemptions to qualified applicants enrolled in online undergraduate and graduate programs at LPU that are eligible for UGC. The primary objective of LPU Jai Jawan Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the brave Indian Armed Forces and other defense forces for their bravery. The program seeks to empower military troops regardless of their deployments by offering online courses, anytime, anywhere access, and virtual tests.
