Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, a candidate must:
- Belong to the General, ST, SC, OBC, SEBC, or EBC communities
- The applicant must reside in Odisha.
- Having successfully completed the Upashastri Examination administered by Shree Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya (SJSV) for the relevant year or the Higher Secondary Examination, which is Class 12 in science, arts, commerce, or vocational stream and is administered by CHSE, Odisha.

Selection Process
- The selection of eligible beneficiaries will be based on the block/ULB allocation and the marks obtained.
- Students with scores of 60 years or above will ideally be given preference when choosing beneficiaries under the program, based on the distribution of the block/ULB.
- The list will be posted on the State Scholarship Portal and the Department’s website.

How to Apply Godabarisha Vidyarthi Protsahana Yojana Online?
- STEP 1: To apply for the SSP Website you must visit the official wesbite.
- Step 2: To continue with the registration process, enter your Aadhaar number
- STEP 3: To obtain the user’s ID and password, check the email or mobile device (i.e., the one connected to the Aadhar number).
- STEP 4: To apply for the scholarship, click the portal’s login link and enter your User ID and password that you got by email or SMS.
- Step 5: Choose GVPY from the scholarship drop-down menu.
- Step 6: Your screen will open a new page.
- Step 7: Click the “Register” button and fill out the necessary information.
- Step 8: Next, send in the necessary paperwork. Complete all required fields.
- Step 9: At this point, press the submit button.
Aadhaar seeding with Bank Account
- Applicants must make sure their bank account is Aadhaar-seeded in order to get the benefits of the Godabarisha Protsahana Yojana (Laptop DBT), which include the Rs. 30,000 annual scholarship. To get Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the applicant must first link their bank account and Aadhaar number.
- Visit the branch where your bank account is located.
- Tell the bank employees that you would like your account to be linked to your Aadhaar number.
- Your bank account information, Aadhaar number, and sometimes additional supporting documentation will be required.
- After verifying your information, the bank will connect your account and Aadhaar.
- Once the procedure is finished, the bank will send you a confirmation.
